“It is important for leaders to have a goal so that their followers are also engaged and put in effort. This session challenges my previous understanding of leadership because I did not know that there was more than one definition of leadership. I liked how the speaker always volunteered at different organizations and was involved with his community, which is a good example of leadership because he always put others before himself. I see myself applying what I learned today in my daily life or future career because I always strive to improve myself and make a difference to those around me.”

“I appreciated the presentation and found it quite useful to discuss career exploration and readiness with both the presenters and the educators with various roles in their respective districts. As a classroom teacher, I am not often in a room with people with such different roles and from nearby towns, so it was interesting to hear what other initiatives are going on with similar goals. The ideas that were presented, in particular, the lessons for grade levels K, 3, 7, high school were excellent and I am glad we had a chance to dive a little deeper into one, yet heard about the others as well.
