ExGen in Action

Omni Control Technologies

Mr. Salvador | Computer Science & Robotics | Milford High School

Mr. Salvador spent time at Omni Control Technologies exploring how advanced technology, robotics, engineering, and manufacturing come together in the workplace.

Bringing it back to students:
His students will visit Omni to observe the engineering, design, and manufacturing process before designing and building a simplified version of an energy box used to provide electricity in remote areas. The project will give students authentic experience with the design process while introducing them to career pathways in technology and manufacturing.

Bring Real-World Learning Into Your Classroom

ExGen offers educators a unique opportunity to step into local industries, connect with community mentors, and gain firsthand insight into the skills and experiences that shape today’s workforce. Through short-term externships and personalized coaching, you’ll design career-connected learning experiences that engage students and align with your curriculum and HQIM. Whether you teach STEM, humanities, or the arts, ExGen helps you make learning more relevant, inspiring, and impactful for you and your students.

ExGen is built on a simple idea: when educators understand today’s workplace, they can create learning that feels real for students. As an ExGen Industry Partner, you’ll work alongside teachers during short externships, helping them translate industry practices into meaningful classroom experiences.
