Our Mission
To partner with school districts, industry, and community partners to expose students to careers as early as possible. Through building supportive networks, providing access to mentors, and delivering career-connected curricula that builds essential skills we will provide equitable opportunities for all students.
The Blackstone Valley Youth Leadership Academy is a unique leadership program for 9th and 10th-grade students in member high schools in the Blackstone Valley. The Academy seeks to enhance the leadership skills of young people and strengthen their connection to the Blackstone Valley. Students apply and are selected by their high schools in the fall for the 30 seats in the upcoming class. The Academy runs twice a month after school on Thursday afternoons from December to May. Meetings are held at selected locations in the Blackstone Valley area. Students put their leadership skills to work through selecting, planning, and implementing an individual community service project.

The Blackstone Valley Youth Leadership Academy is supported in part by private and corporate donors and local school districts.
