Supporting Families through College Financing Webinar

Blackstone Valley Education Foundation now provides support and educational opportunities to families as well as students and educators as a result of a new partnership with Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA). On October 27, 2021 a college financing webinar, exclusively for families and educators of BVEF member school district, provided the 170 registered attendees with information and clarity on the entire college financial aid application process. Presenter, Julie Shields-Rutyna, Director of College Planning, Education, and Training, addressed all aspects of the financial aid process including: filling out applications, types of financial aid, the factors that determine your aid eligibility, how colleges determine the amount of aid to offer and the details of financial aid offers. An After the College Acceptance webinar is scheduled for April, 2022.
